Let's talk about Taylor Swift songs

Hello and thank you for stopping by!: ) this post is short and sweet, but also extremely difficult! I am going to share my top 9 Taylor Swift songs with you. Please know that this could always change daily, weekly, monthly, etc...because I, as a person, am changing daily, weekly, monthly, etc. ... ( am I using commas correctly? ) but for the most part, these have always been at the top of my list. I want to say that these songs are in no particular order, but let's make it even more difficult and do just that. <3

9) Blank Space: 1989 was/ is just an all- around GOOD album. This song is just so sassy and flirty. favorite lyric: "You look like my next mistake." *hair flip*

8) The Archer: First of all I LOVE the Lover album.. give me all the pastels! Give me all the emotions! This song is just pretty. Favorite lyric: " Who could ever leave me darling, but who could stay?"

7) Style: THE best song from 1989..yeah, I said it. This song makes me want to ride in the passenger side of a lover's car on an empty highway while the sun sets.. you know that really nice pink and purple and blue cotton candy sky and possibly that person is driving a car that the top can roll down and I am ALSO eating cotton candy as we drive down a winding and barren road. <3 This song cannot ever be a background music song. This song has to be played loud and clear, no interruptions. Favorite lyric: "We never go out of style"

6) Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince: So when this album was released, I stayed up and waited til midnight and listened to the whole thing, naturally. I may have cried during the first few lines of this song and I may have listened to this song in particular another 2 or 3 times before going to the next. Favorite lyric: "Voted most likely to run away with you."

5) 'Tis the damn season: This song makes me so nostalgic! A song that really gets me in my feels. This song makes me want to meet up with a former lover from high school in my small town during Christmas time when everyone is somehow back in town to celebrate with their families... except I don't have an ex lover who I would imagine doing this with, but if I did, this song makes me want to lol. Whatever. Favorite lyric: "'Tis the damn season."

4) I forgot that you existed: hehehe... ultimately one of my favorite " screw you!" songs. My spirit animal song! This song proves to be effective when you're just in the mood to give all that sass to an ex friend, ex lover, ex co- worker... take your pick! :P it is very petty and catchy and smug and I just adore it. favorite lyric: " I forgot that you existed and I thought that it would kill me but it DIDN'T!" :P

3) The 1: I may cry sometimes when I sing along to this song. So what? This song hits hard. I love how this song is so catchy and I really get into those handclap beats in the music and I get funky with my shoulder movements and head bops and finger snaps while I sing about basically losing the love of my life. So much fun. Favorite Lyric: "You know the greatest loves of all time are over now." </3

2) Lover: JEEZUS. This song gives me major Ryan Adams vibes like for real and that is a plus. ( Also fun fact, Ryan Adams covers some Taylor Swift songs) Another fun fact is that I cannot fully listen to this song without crying.. so there's that. Yepp, I am actually tearing up singing this song in my head. Favorite lyric: " Can I go where you go?"

1) Cruel Summer: It's apparent by now that I have a bias towards the Lover album... I just can't help it! It is so good! So this is the perfect pre - mid- and post Summer song. It's catchy, It brings me back to late Summer 2019 ( hello AGAIN nostalgia) and I love Taylor's voice specifically during the part where she sings/ ( sorta screams?) " He looks up, grinning like the devil." I really can't wait to play this song come Summer time while I tan responsibly in the sun and drink an iced caramel coffee....wow. Yeah I REALLY can't wait.: ) Favorite Lyric :" Devils roll the dice, angels roll their eyes."

That's it for my top 9 Taylor Swift songs. I don't know which was more difficult... picking just 9 songs out of so many, or once again typing with glue on nails! <3
